G.N.M. Training Program

The General Nursing and Midwifery program is a 3 year course. Upon completion of the GNM program, the student will develop skills in providing preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative service in the hospital and community. The medium of instruction is English only. The following are the subjects covered in the GNM program:

Eligibility

  1. 10+2 pass preferable science with (physics, chemistry, Biology) & English with an aggregate of 45% marks.

  2. 10+2 pass with Arts & English with an aggregate of 45% marks.

  3. 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

  4. Registered ANM with pass certificate.

  5. 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.

  6. The minimum age should be 17 Years (as on 31st December of that year) the upper age limit is 35 years. *For ANM/for LHV, there is no bar.

  7. Should be medically fit to undergo the course.
